Hello world!

Hello, welcome me to the 21st century.  You bloggers likely know a lot more about this communication medium than I and I am excited about catching up!  My life mission is to be a positive influence in the lives of others by flooding the airwaves with possibility and connection.  Obviously I simply must learn how all of this works and use it to be of greater service to you.

I had the privilege this weekend of hearing a long time friend and fellow keynote speaker, trainer and poet share words of wisdom in Gaithersburg Maryland.  Her name is Barbara Talley and she was outstanding!  It was Barbara who recommended that I initiate this blog and move forward in warp speed with my other projects.  Barbara suggests that we not wait for the new year or for New Year’s Eve to begin planning things.  Be about that business now.  I echo that sentiment.

A few years ago I released a physical newsletter that only a few of you received.  It included useful information and timeless perspectives that I am incorporating in this blog.  Let me know what you think.

“I am Living Well!”.. Or “Well, I’m Living”

Which way do you feel most often?  How does it serve you?  How does it work for those around you?  So much of what we do can appear like obligation.  “I have to go to work.”  I have family responsibilities.”  “I have to do this and I have to do that…”   Ummm, Clif, those are “Have to’s “ one might say.  Well, let’s look a bit closer.

Let someone attempt to take your job or worse yet, your family and how might you respond?  (Now if excitement and joy is your answer, we need to talk).  The more we work in our routine, sometimes, the more we take our situation for granted.  The more someone is around us, well, if we are not careful, the more we take that person for granted.

There is virtually an alchemy to gratitude.  Steep yourself in the gifts that each moment brings and you multiply your joys “1000 Fold!”

How precious this thing called life. Yes, you are dying…  and it could happen tomorrow.  It could also take fifty to one hundred years or so, either way you’ll get there.  In the mean time, do yourself and the world a favor, live until you die.

Here are a few possibilities to contribute to your living well that are well worth consideration:

  • Make a list of the things that bring you joy, make you happy, make you laugh, make you glad.
  • Sprinkle thoughts and actions from that list as often as you can even if it is simply re-visiting an experience.  Vividly imagined thought can bring you joy, make you happy, make you laugh, make you glad.  Sprinkle thoughts and actions from that list as often as you can even if it is simply re-visiting an experience.  Vividly imagined thought can be almost as great as being there.
